Glass Vs. Stainless Steel

As a Mom in this day and age, I'm constantly juggling kid drop-offs, work deadlines, sports, cleaning the house. For me, a product that offers convenience with compromising my values is everything.

When I first decided to go plastic free for work and school lunches, I first tried glass containers. Glass offered a easy non-toxic solution for packing lunches - but between the weight of glass and the risk of shattering (Can you imagine getting that phone call from school?), it quickly became clear to me that glass wasn't a sustainable solution for our family with small children.

Stainless steel container have been a game changer. They light weight, incredibly durable, and easy to open and close for little hands. My oldest had even used her sandwich container as an impromptu mirror. I don't worry about containers breaking in backpacks when kid toss their backpacks over the back seat, and it doesn't hold on the food smells like some glass and plastics. It's clean, simple, and safe.

What I love most is that stainless steel containers feel like a long-term investment in our family building healthy habits. My kids are learning that clean living and sustainability does mean sacrificing convenience, and that it's the small choices we make daily that collectively will make a big impact.
